You had me hooked from the first time I listened to you. You became best friends with my soul. You didn’t just grab my attention when I first played you, you were the first of all songs that my heart had actually started to follow. It wasn’t just love – it was love at first sight

I didn’t expect you to feel so special, but there you were, calm and soothing, like a deep breath I didn’t know I needed. There’s something so peaceful about the way you flow, like everything slows down for a while. You instantly made me feel positive, like the world wasn’t so heavy anymore. Helping me leave all my worries behind at crucial times, you’ve become someone I can never forget.

And then came the surprise - Hindi lyrics, in the middle of an Ed Sheeran song. That’s when it really hit me. Hearing Arijit Singh’s voice blend so smoothly with Ed’s felt magical. It wasn’t just a song anymore - it felt like a piece of my identity. English and Hindi, together in one melody. Two worlds I’ve always lived between, finally in sync. You made me feel like I was on cloud nine every time I listened to you.

The music video made it even better, shots from all around India, showing everything from everyday streets to beautiful landscapes. It gave me this feeling of pride, like someone finally captured the heart of my culture and showed it with love. I just feel that you have turned out to be my best friend, guardian and mentor.

Every time I play you, no matter what mood I’m in, you manage to make me happy. Whenever I have quarrels with my brother or I am stuck in life’s huge maze – you have become my greatest saviour, as you change the way I think. You’ve become my go-to song - whether I’m walking to clear my head or just need something to lift me up. You have this energy that’s so soft but so strong at the same time. And honestly, you're addictive in a good way.

So, thank you. For making music that feels like home. For reminding me that even in the middle of everything, there’s always a moment to pause, to feel something good, and to just be the best.

With love,

Daiwik

(someone who’ll never get tired of listening to you)
